"Our main co-op works from a little house (with a big court yard were they hang their laundry with the chickens running around) in the suburbs of Lima. It's very rustic, but clean. A couple of women are responsible for organizing the knitting, ordering the thread, and distributing the work amongst a hundred women. They call them as they need them. When I go there, there is often a dozen women working in the main room, with big windows looking over the chickens and the laundry, talking and laughing while they knit"
